About the Messerschmitt Bf 110C - German Heavy Fighter-Bomber:
Named for its chief designer, Willy Messerschmitt (“knife smith”- which is appropriate due to the way they cut through the sky) the Bf 110C was the first version to include Daimler Benz engines, a marked improvement over the DB 600 project. Of the 2500 front line aircraft involved in Operation Barbarossa, only 51 were Bf 110s acting in the Zerstörer (“Destroyer”) role. Aware of its power, Soviet aircraft refused to fight at altitude, somewhat clipping the wings of the Messerschmitt. Despite its limited role making headway into the Eastern Front, the Bf 110C remained a versatile force to be reckoned with in the air or on the ground.

The first thing you may notice about our Bf 110C kit is the beautiful printing! From tip to tail, you won’t have to worry about playing “Operation” to detail this Heavy Fighter-Bomber with stickers. Additionally, the rear gunner is using a BrickArms® MG-34 with saddle drum - to give your custom minifig crew a little extra protection! The landing gear on this Zerstörer is fully deployable, meaning it will look great on your shelf, or even suspended in a dog fight for the more imaginative historians.
