About the AAV-P7/A1 – Amphibious Assault Vehicle:

Capable of transporting Marines and equipment from amphibious assault ships to shore and beyond, the AAV-P7/A1 is an armored assault amphibious full-tracked landing vehicle. The AAV-P7/A1’s primary objective is to spearhead a beach assault, along with other tasks such as Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) missions, escorting food convoys, or mechanized patrol. Crewed by just three personnel, the AAVP7A1 can hold an additional 21 marines with gear. The standard AAV comes equipped with a MK-19 grenade launcher and a M2 .50 caliber machine gun, and is easily the most versatile vehicle in the Marine Corps.
