Combining mobility, survivability, and versatility, the Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle (PMV) is a staple of the Australian military. Designed as a protected troop transport, the Bushmaster has advanced armor and a V-shaped hull to deflect the blast of landmines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), as well as 4-wheel drive and a powerful 300hp engine that gives excellent mobility over harsh terrains and in combat conditions. Capable of carrying 10 soldiers and crew, the Bushmaster serves in transport, command, and logistics roles.
In addition to its defensive and mobility capabilities, the Bushmaster is a potent offensive weapon, carrying weapons systems such as remote gun stations or manned turrets. Introduced in the early 2000s, the Bushmaster’s durability and reliability have proven critical when deployed to combat zones.
