About the USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23) – Seawolf Class Attack Submarine (3 in 1 Kit):

This 3-in-1 build allows you to build any of the USN Seawolf Class submarines! Alternative builds are the USS Seawolf (SSN-21) and USS Connecticut (SSN-22) and there are also alternative heads, hands, and hats to make three possible variations of custom minifig.

The USS Jimmy Carter is a modified Seawolf-class submarine named for the only submarine-qualified U.S. president. The Seawolf-class consists of three nuclear-powered, fast-attack submarines. Large, fast, and quiet, the class carries extensive weapons systems, including torpedoes and Tomahawk cruise missiles, and advanced sonar arrays. Nuclear propulsion provides unlimited range, and endurance is limited only by the food supplies needed for the 140-person crew. In addition, the Jimmy Carter features extensive alterations that make the submarine a unique subclass unto herself. During initial construction, her hull was extended by 100 feet to carry a Multi-Mission Platform, designed for deploying vehicles and Navy SEALS or working on undersea cables.

Brickmania’s kit includes all the pieces necessary to convert the model to the other ships of the Seawolf-class, the USS Seawolf (SSN-21) or Connecticut (SSN-22), which do not feature the modifications undergone by the Jimmy Carter.
