The Type 38 Light Tank Destroyer Hetzer was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War. In German, it is known as the Jagdpanzer 38(t). Its official number was Sd.Kfz.138/2. The nickname "Hetzer" (German: Hetzer, the hunter's son) was originally intended for the E-10 project, the next generation of light tank destroyers, but has since been applied to this vehicle. It is also believed to have been based on an earlier design, the Romanian Marechal tank destroyer.( From Wikipedia)
