Retired in 2013 and serving its entire career with the 160th SOAR, Super 68 known as “Razor’s Edge” is a Sikorsky® MH-60L Black Hawk® that served in the Battle of Mogadishu as well as “Operation Gothic Serpent” where it was one of three Black Hawk® helicopters downed during the operation. Its armament includes a 19-shot rocket pod, 30mm auto-cannon, and two 7.62mm electric miniguns, but could also support Hellfire and Stinger missiles as well. This current kit configuration of Super 68 flew in Afghanistan as recently as 2012. The 160th SOAR (Special Operations Aviation Regiment) has been continuously engaged in the combat operations since October 2001. Known as Night Stalkers, these Soldiers are highly trained and ready to accomplish the very toughest missions in all environments, anywhere in the world, day or night, with unparalleled precision.
