The Type 38 Light Tank Destroyer Hetzer was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War. In German, it is known as the Jagdpanzer 38(t). Its official number was Sd.Kfz.138/2. The nickname "Hetzer" (German: Hetzer, the hunter's son) was originally intended for the E-10 project, the next generation of light tank destroyers, but has since been applied to this vehicle.
