Lightweight, rugged, and reliable, the L-4 Grasshopper was a highly versatile aircraft utilized by many countries for war and peace time operations. Proving essential to US military efforts in WWII and Korea, the L-4 did everything from transporting higher ups, to artillery scouting, and even served as an anti-tank aircraft with rocket launchers for ground attacks. It’s estimated that over 20,000 L-4 aircraft were produced from 1938 to 1947.
