About the P-40N Warhawk – Burma Banshees Playset:

In the Second World War, the American 80th Fighter Group prowled the skies above Burma, earning the nickname the “Burma Banshees.” In 1942, the Japanese invasion forced Allied units such as the Chindits and, later, Merrill’s Marauders to operate deep in the jungle, isolated behind enemy lines. But in mid-1943, the Burma Banshees arrived to provide air support. Taking an active approach to the defense of supply and communications lines, the Group attacked airfields, supply dumbs, and artillery positions. Flying quick, devastating missions, the Banshees could deliver precise strikes within just yards of friendly troops.

Durable and agile, the P-40 Warhawk debuted in 1941 and remained in service until the end of the war. It proved particularly successful in the China-Burma-India theater, where it seized unquestioned control of the skies. The final production variant, the P-40N was a versatile weapon in the hands of the Banshees. Ground crews removed guns to increase speed and climb rate or fitted 1,000-pound bombs to create a fighter-bomber, dubbed the B-40, which the Burma Banshees used to demolish hundreds of enemy bridges.

Loaded with 50x custom printed elements featuring all original artwork, the Burma Banshees Playset is more than just a P-40N, it also features an additional ground crew mechanic custom minifig as well as a delivery cart, bomb trolly with 500lb bomb, oxygen bottle and rolling rack, 2x fuel drums, and a custom printed map tile. The 'Warhawk' build itself can easily fit the custom pilot minifig inside the cockpit (when equipped with the aviator cap.) and includes a plethora of details and play features.
