About the Type 89 I-Go Otsu - Medium Tank:
First used in combat in 1932 during the invasion of Manchuria and the First Battle of Shanghai, the Type 89 I-Go excelled as infantry support. It’s 57-millimeter gun could effectively knock out machine gun nests and other infantry positions, while its 6–17mm armor effectively defended against small arms. Come the outbreak of World War II, Type 89 I-Go tanks were deployed to British Malaya and the Philippine Islands. While unable to combat advances in allied armor as the war went on, many continued to serve as infantry pillboxes and static defense positions.
Armament: 1x 57 mm (2.24 in) gun, 2x Type 91 6.5 mm machine guns
Speed: 16 km/h (10 mph)
Range: 150 km (95 mi)
