About the T-64BV Ukranian MBT
First entering production in 1985, the T-64BV includes several upgrades from the T-64, most notably an enhanced anti-radiation protection and explosive reactive armor. The 125mm gun packs quite a punch, but also uses up more space, so as a solution the standard crew has been reduced from four to three. The T-64BV is equipped with a mechanized autoloader capable of holding 28 rounds and firing eight shots per minute. Because of a lower weight than other modern tanks, the T-64BV has better operational mobility, and driving seems much less taxing for the crew, thanks to assisted controls and a more flexible suspension. T-64s have been used by Ukraine during the 2022 Russian invasion. Currently, around 800 are in service in Ukraine.Specifications:
